Of the R family hotel,

I got a buzzing text

On my flip phone.

An invitation

To join the back porch

Viewing party

Of the Kentucky sunset.

I abandoned my textbook,

Put on real pants,

And basked in the quiet

splendor.

Flipphones can’t hold many pictures

Except the worth it ones.

They say,

“Adventure is out there.”
